The MTTC is all about firstly raising much needed funds for MaD in Camby and then to get our operations well and truly underway in Zimbabwe.
Many of the teams that have already registered are ex- Zimbabweans like myself, who have strong ties with the people of our home, who have been completely trampled and marginalised over the past 20 - 30 years. This is a country with the world's records for pretty much everything you can imagine.
For the bulk of the country's population thay have had their hearts wrung and their lives hang for the most part by a fine delicate thread.
While the world stands by waiting to see what is going to happen Zimbabweans are dying from unacceptable conditions. In 30 years Zimbabwe has gone from being the Bread basket of the region to being the BASKET CASE of the world.
Standing by for us as a NON POLITICAL - HUMANITARIAN Organization is no longer acceptable, so MaD Zimbabwe is born and MTTC will help us Make a Difference for Good! at home.
This means we have started 'pimping' up th eTeams MTTC tuk tuks and with the great artistic skills of an artist in Japan [Emma] we are slowly getting some great designs together for the inaugral Challenge in Januaru 2010!
