Sooo, we're now ln day three sat round a table in a
pagoda about 40 kms from phnom penh. We've been making great progress
though, around 80-90kms per day. The roads have been getting
progressively worse: very narrow, full of potholes and some seriously
scary traffic, just about every team has nearly crashed into something
so far, this is the main road in the whole of cambodia and there's
still cattle, chickens and just about anything else crossing the road
at any given time! Last night we set up hammocks under palm trees in a
beautiful pagoda, although my hammock managed to breal causing a
rather painful fall! We also did a health clinic there and saw some
scary ailments including one guy who had huge chunks of flesh missing
from a parasite living under his skin! Alsi got invited to a khmer
party at someone's house where we appeared to be the guests of honour!
This pagoda is equally beautiful, a bubch of us took over an english
class today and taught about 30 kids heads shoulders knees and toes!
Oh and we also ate tarantulas at the side of the road: disgusting!
Phnon penh and maybe photos to follow tomorrow: stay tuned!
